This week SmartGrid GB launched the report "Smart Grid: A Great Consumer Opportunity". Engage has been delighted to support SmartGrid GB in producing this report. We believe consumer engagement with smart grid initiatives will have significant bearing on the speed of development of the smart grid market, and the level of uptake of smart schemes such as demand side management.
Engage is exhibiting at the Energy Ireland conference in Dublin, 19th – 20th June, in conjunction with one of its partners DNV KEMA. The conference is Ireland’s largest energy conference and is attended every year by all the key players in the Irish energy sector.

On 17th April, Jason Brogden gave a well-received presentation to the IET Smart Metering conference on behalf of his client, Energy UK. He presented the initiatives that Energy UK has been delivering to contribute towards smart metering delivery, including the development of a Privacy Charter and Smart Metering Installation Code of Practice.
On 5th April, the Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), on behalf of the Government published its latest set of documents associated with the Smart Metering Implementation Programme. DECC has provided a detailed summary of the programme status as part of its document pack. Engage’s briefing note draws on the full set of publications issued by the Government.
