Engage Consulting is pleased to announce that Bart de Leeuw has joined our growing team as Principal Consultant, bringing extensive expertise in energy transition and strategic advisory services to strengthen our capability in supporting clients’ Net Zero ambitions.
With over 20 years’ experience in the energy sector, Bart brings extensive expertise in Net Zero transition, low carbon technologies, and the strategic development and delivery of complex innovation initiatives. His background spans senior technical and leadership roles in academia, industry, and the Civil Service, where he has led cross-cutting teams in developing multi-million pound energy innovation programmes supporting the UK’s transition to Net Zero.
Bart’s appointment reinforces Engage Consulting’s commitment to expanding our team with industry-leading professionals who share our dedication to driving innovation and excellence in the energy sector. His proven track record in programme and project management, stakeholder management in complex environments, and policy development will be instrumental in supporting our clients as they navigate the complex challenges of the energy transition and work towards achieving their sustainability goals.
Bart has worked across a broad range of energy system technology areas, including offshore wind, marine, nuclear and smart energy systems. His previous work includes leading the strategic development and delivery of the Longer Duration Energy Storage (LODES) programme and Flexibility Innovation Programme (FIP) within DESNZ Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (NZIP).
