Chris brings over 25 years of experience in delivering change and transformation projects and programmes across the energy sector. He has built a reputation for tackling complex industry challenges, drawing on extensive expertise in multi-stakeholder environments to navigate and deliver effective solutions.
His career highlights include significant involvement in the Smart Metering Implementation Programme (SMIP), establishing the Alternative HAN Company and its services to enable energy suppliers to fulfil their smart metering obligations, and developing testing and assurance requirements for smart metering with industry stakeholders. Chris’s key development interests include low carbon technologies and innovation, and he is passionate about supporting the initiatives required to deliver a smart, secure and resilient energy system as part of the transition to carbon neutrality.

As Head of Consultancy, Chris takes accountability for the end-to-end performance of Engage’s Consultancy Practice, encompassing both delivery excellence and commercial growth. The role is both internally and externally focused, requiring strong leadership, client interaction, and market presence. Chris will drive business development, account management, and marketing activity to support Engage’s revenue ambitions, whilst ensuring the consultancy team continues to deliver services to the highest standards of quality and timeliness.
As a member of the Senior Management Team, Chris will play a pivotal role in promoting and protecting the Engage brand, shaping company strategy, and ensuring robust delivery and commercial governance across the practice.
