Since our founding in February 2000, we have become a leading consultancy in the GB energy sector, recognised for our expertise in navigating market changes, regulations, and industry transformations. Over the course of a quarter of a century, we have built enduring partnerships and a reputation for excellence, continually adapting to meet the challenges of a sector where change never stands still.
Looking Back and Building a Reputation for Excellence
For 25 years, we have worked with government bodies, regulators and leading energy companies to help shape the UK’s energy markets. A cornerstone of this has been our 20-year relationship with Energy UK, a testament to the long-standing trust our clients place in us.
Our reputation as subject matter industry experts has been earned through some of the most complex and high-profile programmes in the sector.
We have also supported national bodies with work that matters. For ALT HAN Co., we backed the delivery of home area network innovation. On behalf of the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), we lead a consortium of experts to deliver laboratory conformance and performance testing of emerging technologies (IDSR). Through the EMRS Single Service Support Contract, we contributed to delivering critical systems that underpin electricity market settlement. (link to case studies)
Our long-standing role as the Allocation of Unidentified Gas Expert (AUGE) is a clear example of how our independent expertise has been trusted year after year. We have recently been reappointed for a further three-year term.

At Engage, our strength has always been our people. We are proud to have built a highly experienced and diverse team whose insight and dedication underpin everything we deliver. Few embody this more than Kevin Mitchell, who joined the business in 2003 and has played a pivotal role in shaping our services for over 20 years.

As we celebrate 25 years, we are proud that many of our colleagues have chosen to mark their own long-service milestones with us. Over the past 12 months, we have also seen significant growth in our team, welcoming new talent while celebrating the promotions of colleagues across different areas of the business. Our Investors in People Gold accreditation reflects the value we place on developing and supporting our people. We are proud to have celebrated 12 long-service awards in the last 12 months. At the same time, our CSR activities give staff opportunities to contribute to broader community and environmental goals. Together, these milestones reflect both loyalty and opportunity, highlighting the people-first culture that continues to drive Engage forward.
