Engage Consulting Sponsors Karan Shinghal’s London Marathon Run for the Dakshin Foundation

At Engage Consulting, our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility goes hand in hand with our passion for sustainability and supporting the people who make our business what it is. We are delighted to announce that we are sponsoring our colleague Karan Shinghal with a £250 donation as he takes on the TCS London Marathon 2026 in aid of the Dakshin Foundation.

Running for India’s Fragile Coastal Ecosystems

On marathon day, Karan, wearing bib number 6562, will be pounding the streets of London to raise awareness and funds for the Dakshin Foundation, an India-based non-profit working with coastal communities to secure the health of the country’s sensitive coastal and island ecosystems. His personal fundraising target is £750, and every pound raised supports communities on the front line of climate change.

The Dakshin Foundation understands that climate change, environmental degradation, economic inclusion and equity are deeply interconnected, which is why its SeaChange programme combines marine conservation with sustainable livelihood support for the communities who depend on these important ecosystems.

Karan Shinghal, who joined Engage Consulting earlier this year, said: “I’m incredibly grateful to Engage Consulting for their generous £250 support that will go a long way in bolstering the vital work that Dakshin Foundation is doing to protect fragile coastal ecosystems and livelihoods. Gives me just the boost that I needed as I go into my last week of training for the London Marathon!”

Kevin Mitchell, Head of Operations and People at Engage Consulting, added: “We are delighted to be sponsoring Karan’s London Marathon charity fundraising on behalf of the Dakshin Foundation. Karan is passionate about ecology and mitigating the effects of climate change, and we are proud to be supporting our newest employee in his marathon efforts, good luck Karan!”

Supporting Karan’s Fundraiser

Karan is still working towards his £750 target, and every donation, large or small, makes a genuine difference to the Dakshin Foundation’s work protecting coastal and marine ecosystems and the wellbeing of the fishing communities that rely on them.

If you would like to support Karan on the final stretch to marathon day, you can donate via his JustGiving page here: justgiving.com/crowdfunding/karan-london-marathon-for-dakshin.
