Cancer affects nearly every one of us in some way, and at Engage Consulting we believe that when a member of our team steps up to make a difference, it deserves to be recognised. We are proud to announce that we are sponsoring Senior Consultant Michael Clarke with a £250 donation as he takes on the Cancer Research UK Race for Life 10K in Nottingham; a challenge rooted in deeply personal experience and one that means a great deal to him and to us.
The Event
Michael will be running the Race for Life 10K on Sunday 21st June 2026, which is of course Father’s Day, at Victoria Embankment, Nottingham. The route follows a picturesque course beside the River Trent and is chip-timed, giving participants the chance to beat a personal best whilst raising vital funds for life-saving cancer research.
Why It Matters to Michael
Cancer has touched Michael’s life in profound and deeply personal ways. He lost his biological father, his uncle, and his grandfather to the disease. More recently, two of his closest friends have undergone cancer treatment, both, thankfully, now in remission. It is a cause that has shaped his life in ways that go far beyond statistics, and running on Father’s Day makes the occasion all the more meaningful.
