Engage Strengthens Its Team with the Appointment of Charles Moore as Consultant

Engage Consulting is delighted to announce that Charles (Charlie) Moore has joined our team as a Consultant, bringing valuable market analysis expertise and renewable energy forecasting experience to strengthen our advisory capabilities during this pivotal time for the energy sector.

Deep Market Analysis Expertise

Charlie joins Engage following three years of specialist experience in market analysis and training across the UK energy sector. His appointment reinforces our commitment to providing clients with data-driven insights and expert guidance as they navigate the complexities of the energy industry.

In his most recent role, Charlie served as a senior analyst responsible for producing key forecasts and reports on renewable power values and electricity network charges – expertise that directly aligns with the critical challenges our clients face in optimising their energy strategies and investments.

Comprehensive Industry Experience

Charlie’s career trajectory demonstrates the breadth of knowledge he brings to Engage. After graduating from Durham University in 2022 with a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, he began his energy sector journey as an analyst focusing on the domestic retail market under the Energy Price Guarantee and the expansion of demand side flexibility services.

His progression into a consulting division in 2023 saw him support a diverse range of projects, including co-authoring policy reports for the UK Confederation of Paper Industries and the Energy Networks Association. This experience encompassed:

  • Sell-side Due Diligence modelling
  • Flexible asset optimisation strategies
  • Route-to-Market support for low-carbon generation

Supporting the Energy Transition

Commenting on his appointment, Charlie said: “I’m very excited to have joined Engage at such an exciting time for the industry, and look forward to supporting our clients to succeed in navigating and delivering the energy transition.”

This sentiment perfectly captures the collaborative, solution-oriented approach that defines Engage Consulting’s partnership with clients. Charlie’s expertise in renewable power forecasting and network charge analysis positions him to provide valuable insights as businesses adapt to regulatory changes and pursue Net Zero objectives.

Strengthening Client Support

Charlie’s appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to expanding our team with specialists who understand the intricacies of today’s energy market. His experience spans both analytical and consulting roles, providing him with a comprehensive understanding of market dynamics and practical implementation challenges.

This dual perspective enables him to translate complex market data into actionable strategies that deliver tangible benefits for our clients – whether they’re navigating Market-wide Half Hourly Settlement (MHHS) implementation, optimising renewable energy investments, or developing flexibility service strategies.

Looking Forward

As the GB energy sector continues its transformation towards a more flexible, sustainable future, having advisors who combine analytical rigour with practical consulting experience becomes increasingly valuable.

Our Head of Service Delivery, Kevin Mitchell, said, “We’re delighted to welcome Charlie into Engage. His analytical expertise and desire to use his skills to help influence decision-making for our clients and for Engage are great assets for us. I’m excited to see Charlie develop further as his career progresses with us.”

Charlie’s appointment strengthens our ability to support clients across the full spectrum of energy transition challenges. We look forward to the insights and expertise Charlie will bring to our client engagements, further enhancing our position as trusted partners in navigating the complex, evolving energy landscape.
