From Software Tester to Head of Service Delivery
Kevin’s journey began in 2005 when he joined Engage as a software tester, bringing with him eight years of experience from the telecommunications and finance sectors. What started as a role in User Acceptance Testing has evolved into a remarkable career progression that exemplifies our commitment to professional development and internal growth.
“I joined Engage as a software tester in 2005 and quickly realised I was working for a very special company, with a great culture and extremely talented co-workers,” reflects Kevin. “Looking back over the last 20 years, I can happily say that I have had a very interesting and fulfilling career here, which is testament to the way Engage encourages personal and professional development.”
Delivering Excellence Across Complex Energy Systems
Kevin’s expertise spans critical areas of energy sector operations, from stakeholder management and project delivery to energy settlement system expertise and ICT infrastructure. His deep understanding of these complex systems has been instrumental in delivering solutions for some of the sector’s most challenging initiatives.
Currently managing a team of 26 consultants, technical consultants, and support staff, Kevin ensures the excellent delivery of services across multiple external and internal projects. His achievements include streamlining and enhancing the Engage Project Delivery methodology, managing the development and testing of the Government Energy Price Guarantee scheme software on behalf of ELEXON, and overseeing enhancements to both the Contracts for Difference and Capacity Market invoicing systems for EMRS.

Kevin’s reflection on his journey captures both gratitude and excitement: “In my 20 years at Engage, I have progressed from tester to test team leader, then test team manager, then Head of the IS Service, and since 2024 I have been Head of Service Delivery for the whole of Engage; it really isn’t where I thought I would be when I joined all those years ago, but I’m thrilled to be here and excited about what mine and Engage’s future holds!”
