About the YEP Awards
Organised by Energy UK, the trade association for the energy industry, the YEP Awards are now in their twelfth year. They celebrate professionals with up to ten years’ experience working in the energy industry, or for organisations that provide services to it, across nine categories – including two new awards for 2026: Communications & Engagement and Supply Chain Innovator.
The winners will be announced at a black-tie ceremony:

Tickets and tables of ten can be booked via the Energy UK event page, with discounted tickets available for students and charities. The event regularly sells out, so early booking is recommended.
Who Should Be Nominated?
The Rising Star Award recognises a candidate with fewer than two years’ experience in the energy industry, or a current student, who is already making a difference.
That could be someone who has brought fresh thinking to a settlement or metering challenge, taken real ownership of a project well beyond their experience level, or simply raised the standard of everyone around them. If a name has come to mind while reading this, that is probably your nomination.
Candidates may nominate themselves or someone else, and entry is free. Everything you need is in the application pack, and nominations can be submitted directly through the Energy UK event page.
