Engage Consulting is delighted to welcome Marc Towers as a Principal Consultant, strengthening our Energy & Utilities capability.
Marc brings over 30 years’ experience delivering complex transformation across the energy and utilities landscape. His background spans policy and regulation, central market bodies and retail markets, giving him a uniquely end-to-end view of the sector and its ongoing transformation.
He has extensive experience shaping and delivering large-scale digital and technology-enabled programmes, including smart infrastructure, data platform modernisation, CRM transformation and operating model design to support the energy transition.
At Engage, Marc will play a key role in strengthening delivery across core sector priorities, including market reform programmes and regulatory assurance. His experience working across multiple parts of the energy system enables him to connect technical change with customer and policy outcomes – particularly in areas such as affordability and consumer vulnerability.
Marc also brings cross-sector insight that will support Engage’s continued growth. Having worked across policy, central market organisations and retail markets, he is well placed to identify new opportunities and help clients navigate increasingly complex regulatory and market environments.
Alongside his energy expertise, Marc has strong experience in the water sector and will help expand Engage’s presence in this growing market. He has supported utilities in areas including smart infrastructure, affordability reform and digital transformation and will focus on translating energy market expertise into emerging water sector opportunities.
In addition to client delivery, Marc offers significant experience in building and scaling consulting capabilities. He has led multidisciplinary teams delivering complex transformation programmes and brings expertise in operating model design and organisational development, supporting high-growth practices to scale effectively.
