Strengthening Our Regulatory and Sustainability Expertise
We are delighted to announce that Suzanne (Suzy) Jespersen has joined Engage Consulting as a Senior Consultant, bringing over 20 years of distinguished experience in energy policy, regulation, compliance, and sustainability to our growing team.
Her proven track record in communications and influencing positive change, combined with her extensive experience building successful relationships across government, regulators, and industry stakeholders, makes her an invaluable addition to our consultancy team.
Bringing Proven Industry Experience
Most recently, serving as Regulatory and Compliance Manager at Rebel Energy and previously as Energy and Sustainability Manager at Moorhouse Consulting. Suzy has been instrumental in the effective delivery of critical energy and policy regulatory schemes. Her expertise includes significant involvement in high-profile initiatives such as the Energy Price Guarantee (EPG) at Ofgem and the Energy Bill Relief Scheme (EBRS) at DESNZ, where she excelled in fostering effective stakeholder relationships, enhancing supplier engagement and compliance, and driving accurate reporting.
Before these roles, Suzy spent thirteen years at EDF, where she led on energy policy and regulatory reporting requirements. In this capacity, she managed the coordination of numerous critical obligations and regulatory responses to external stakeholders, including BEIS, Ofgem, Energy UK, and Citizens Advice. As a Customer Policy and Regulation Senior Analyst, she authored consultation responses and briefing papers on retail energy issues, including fuel poverty and Net Zero initiatives.
Sustainability and Innovation Focus
Suzy’s expertise extends beyond regulatory compliance to encompass substantial experience in sustainability. She has successfully delivered resource efficiency projects and IEMA-qualified audits, achieving significant savings while being responsible for the business development of employee behavioural change and sustainability programmes.
