Bart supports our clients in the strategic development, delivery and assurance of initiatives to help accelerate their ambitions within the Net Zero transition. He has held senior technical and leadership roles in academia, industry and the Civil Service, leading cross-cutting teams in the development and delivery of complex multi-million pound energy innovation programmes supporting the UK’s transition to Net Zero. He has worked across a broad range of energy system technology areas including offshore wind, marine, nuclear and smart energy systems.

Bart’s previous work includes:
- Leading the Strategic development and delivery of the Longer Duration Energy Storage (LODES) programme and Flexibility Innovation Programme (FIP) within DESNZ Net Zero Innovation Portfolio (NZIP).
- Leading international negotiations for the design and implementation of the UK:China Nuclear Joint Research Innovation Centre (JRIC)
- Development of Emerging Technology and Innovation Strategy for energy storage for a utility organisation.
- Leading the strategic direction and delivery of Innovation activities within a Distribution Network Operator.
- Programme Management of complex collaborative government initiatives including the Electrification of Heat Programme, the Offshore Wind Accelerator Programme and the Advanced Nuclear Fuels Programme.
Bart has over 20 years’ experience bringing together technical, programme and commercial management expertise across government and industry, leading cross-cutting teams in the development and implementation of high value complex programmes supporting the UK’s transition to Net Zero. He also has extensive experience working as a senior engineering consultant across the Americas, Europe and the Middle East.
