Grace is an ex Civil Servant who headed the UK’s national policy for private EV charging at the Office for Zero Emission Vehicles between 2021 and 2024. In this role she designed and implemented national policies to improve availability and affordability of EV charging in homes, workplaces, and fleet sites. In post she oversaw landmark legislation requiring new buildings in England to have charge points and the publication of the UK’s first EV fire safety guidance for car parks. Before her work in EVs she developed a wealth of experience across various government departments working on EU-exit preparation, COVID-19 response, and device regulation.

Grace’s previous work includes:
- Introduction of legislation requiring all new buildings in England to have charge points installed if they have associated parking, estimated to see 140,000 charge points installed per year
- Project managing coordination of the Government’s ‘Plan for Drivers’ EV measures, including developing first-time guidance for cross-pavement charging technology and consulting on permitted development rights expansions
- Project managing procurement, peer review and publication of the UK’s first covered space EV fire safety guidance
Grace has also held roles in the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, HM Courts and Tribunals Service and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency. She is a qualified Prince2 Practitioner Project Manager and speaks intermediate Japanese having lived in Fukuoka, Japan.
