Matthew Johnson became Chief Executive of Engage Consulting in October 2024, having joined Engage earlier in the year as Head of New Business and Strategy to drive strategy and growth ambition. He brings over two decades of leadership experience spanning corporate finance, international commerce, and energy market operations.
Matthew entered the energy sector in 2015 with the Low Carbon Contracts Company, where he played a key role in establishing the Electricity Market Reform settlement services for the Contracts for Difference and Capacity Market schemes. In 2018, he joined Elexon as Settlement Services Director and Executive Team member, overseeing critical settlement activities whilst serving on the Board of Directors for EMR Settlement Ltd.
Under Matthew’s leadership, Engage has expanded its team and continues to strengthen its position as the trusted advisor for energy industry professionals, building on 25 years of delivering independent specialist advisory and project management services to support the sector’s evolution.
