Taking Cyber Security Seriously at Engage

At Engage Consulting, we understand the importance of cyber security and the impact that a cyber attack can have on a business. That’s why we are proud to be Cyber Essentials Accredited. By achieving this accreditation, we can demonstrate to our clients that we take cybersecurity seriously and that we have implemented robust measures to protect their data.

Cyber Essentials is a government-backed scheme that helps organisations protect themselves against common cyber attacks. The scheme is designed to provide a clear set of measures that organisations can take to improve their cyber security and reduce the risk of attacks from cyber criminals. The scheme is supported by the UK government, industry, and academia, and is intended to encourage best practice and raise awareness of cyber security.

To become Cyber Essentials Accredited, a company must complete an assessment that covers five key areas: boundary firewalls and internet gateways; secure configuration; access control; malware protection; and patch management. These areas are considered to be the most important for protecting an organisation from common cyber attacks, and companies that pass the assessment are awarded a Cyber Essentials certificate.

Having the Cyber Essentials Accreditation not only helps us to protect our own business but also our clients, as it shows that we have taken steps to reduce the risk of a data breach. This is especially important for businesses in the consulting industry, where sensitive client information is often shared.

“At Engage Consulting, cybersecurity is a top priority. Our Cyber Essentials Accreditation is a testament to our commitment to protecting our clients’ data from cyber threats. We take cybersecurity seriously and are proud to have achieved this industry-recognised accreditation.”Richard Cullen – Practice Director
