Engage Consulting Donate £1000 to The Fuel Bank Foundation

As part of our ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility commitment, Engage Consulting is pleased to have supported the Fuel Bank Foundation and has recently donated £1000 to enable it to continue its vital work in the current cost of living crisis in the UK.

The Fuel Bank Foundation provides emergency help to people who do not have heat, light and/or power in their homes because they cannot afford to top up their prepayment gas and/or electricity meter.

The foundation was established in 2015 by npower and has so far helped over 650,000 people across the UK. Eligible households receive a fuel voucher which they can use to top up their prepayment meter. People are also offered impartial yet actionable advice, with the aim of preventing disconnection of their energy services in the future.

The Fuel Bank Foundation works alongside around 200 partners, including advice agencies, food banks, charities, community interest companies, local councils, and groups based in the community, often the first place people who are struggling turn to for help.

John Peters, Managing Director of Engage Consulting, says: “Here at Engage, we recognise the importance of the Fuel Bank Foundation. With many areas of the country experiencing an unprecedented cost of living crisis, it’s fundamental that people know that they have somewhere they can turn to in their time of need. Having a secure supply of heat, light and power is vital for people of all ages, and I hope that our donation helps to continue the excellent work of the Foundation”.

Matthew Cole, head of Fuel Bank Foundation, said: “We are extremely grateful for the donation from Engage Consulting which, like many businesses, community groups and organisations, have felt compelled to help those less fortunate than themselves by donating to the Fuel Bank. The cost-of-living crisis and rising energy bills have put fuel poverty in the spotlight and created greater awareness and understanding amongst the public of the challenges faced by people on lower incomes, which in turn has generated thousands of donations. On behalf of the charity, I would like to thank Engage for its support.”
